Not sure how other people think but what they call fashion… woman look like huchiy women. Everything is right fitting.. I don’t like seeing my pillsbury body so I’m sure no one else does. Before I looked like the Michelin man. That was bad. What happened to the comfy loose fitting top in solid colors. Not big flowery prints or stripes that make you look wider then you already are. Yeah I get big is beautiful but the fact is, your body can’t handle the extra weight. As we get older case in point, my muscles are disappearing, my skin is sagging and wrinkles and the fat is making rolls. It gross. I’m not vain in any sense, I just don’t recognize myself.

Diet…
Let’s see… Where do I begin…. First off to me I hate the words diet, healthy eating, healthy diet whatever. Just eat what you like in moderation and add a fresh fruit or fresh vegetables and a glass of water. That’s it! For me I get stressed out trying to find healthy recipes that don’t have avocado or quinoa in it. I don’t like either. I don’t really like to eat out either. Too much salt and in some places too much garlic. So I cook simple stuff at home. Recipes to follow later. I do weight myself every day. I keep a food diary via fitbit app and see what I had too much of the day before. I’m trying not to eat after 8:00 pm. I work in retail so my schedule is all over the map. At least I’m no longer sitting on my ass for 8 hours doing office work. That’s another subject. So I’m still working on what I can have when I work late so I don’t eat the fridge. I’m still a work in progress. I’m not perfect just trying to lose this weight and keep it off. It is so true… The older you get the harder it is to get that fat crap off. Unless you’re rich and don’t have to work which I am neither.
Excersise equipment.
I just read an article on what excersises equipment you should have in your home gym. Instead of buying equipment like they have at the gym shouldn’t it be based on what you like doing? For instance I like the treadmill. Used it in the gym and I use it at home. Have an elliptical. Use that too. Bought a excersise bike because I did spinning once. Have not used the stationary bike as of yet. Nor the yoga swing, Joe weider body thing.( like the one Christy Brinkley promotes) ball, medicine ball, 50lb weights or anything else that’s in a gym. I still have the stuff thinking I’m going to use it someday. Fact is I’m 57 years old, let’s ge real. I do physical work at work so when I get home I’m tired. On my days off I go for walks and sit and do some arm stuff in my swim spa. Aww. My swim spa. I loved doing laps at the gym. Then one day the pool was closed for repair. I decided to look into swim spa’s. Best investment I ever did. You can do aqua aerobics and laps with a tether line. I use the spa the most. So bottom line. Figure out what you really like to do in the gym and in your spare time. It will save you a lot of money and you’re more likely to stick with it.

Join me on the trail to becoming thinner, saving money as we age.
Hope you join me! This is Mount Tabor park. With great trails for hiking and biking. Haven’t done the bike thing yet. If you see the drop offs you’ll know why..
